Due to low gas prices, Moco has not actively pursued any development projects however in November 2014, the company received a notice to drill a 3900m horizontal well at 1 6-21-65-07W6M targeting a very prolific Fahler C channel reservoir.

Based on the logs from 10-21 that was producing gas from the Fahler B zone gas well, it was decided to participate in the well for or the company’s 6.25% working interest. The well hit the channel as expected and was placed on stream in February 2015 with an initial flow rate of over 10MMCFD. However, it declined rapidly over a three-month period to about 1.5MMCFD due to suspected plugging in the wellbore.

The operator (Conoco Phillips) is proposing to conduct a remedial work -over in order to restore the higher rates. Subsequent to the work-over it is anticipated that the well will produce 3-5 MMCFD plus liquids bringing Moco’s share of production closer to 350MCFD plus over 25 BPD of condensate and NGL liquids (approximately 60BOEPD).
